Family members, her teachers and her classmates who gathered to bury her spoke of how she dreamt of becoming a Lawyer. Her class teacher, Mr Adebayo Moses told Punch “She was quite brilliant; not troublesome, accommodating and friendly. Her death is very painful.”

The matron of the school, Mrs. Dorcas Ogundare, also spoke glowingly about her “The last day she was in school, she came a bit late and I joked with her that she would wash toilets. She just smiled and I told her to rush to the class. She was a child to all of us and had a bright future,” she said.

PRESS STATEMENT

Ministerial Screening: We complied with our Legislative procedures----Mark

The attention of the office of the President of the Senate has been drawn to the needless controversies concerning the screening of ministerial nominees on the floor of the Senate with particular reference to the confirmation of Senator Musiliu Obanikoro.

We will like to state without any form of ambiguity that the President of the Senate complied with all the legislative practices and procedures in the confirmation of all the ministerial nominees that appeared before the Senate.

It is strange that those who hold contrary views have laid claims to the tradition of the Senate that where three Senators are opposed to a nominee, such a nominee are automatically disqualified and cannot be confirmed by the Senate. This is misplaced.

It is important to state that the Senate found herself in a situation where two of its traditions were in conflict. There exists a tradition of permitting nominees that had served as Senators  or member of the House of Representatives of the Federal Republic to take a bow and go without being questioned.

The Senate also has a tradition of stopping any nominee that fails to secure at least two of the three Senators.

Where the Senate was faced with this conflict, the option available to the President of the Senate, as the presiding officer was to put the question to the floor and rule applicably.

The President of the Senate, Senator David Mark, did just that. He put the question through voice vote, and ayes won resoundingly and he so ruled.

On the issue of courts, Rules 53 (5) of the Senate Standing Rules did state; "if in the opinion of the President of the Senate, the matter will be subjudice."  Senator Mark made it clear that he has  not been served any court order neither has he received any injunction restraining him from processing the confirmation of the ministerial nominees.

Besides, it is a known fact that an accused is presumed innocent until proven otherwise by a court of competent jurisdiction.

The processes and decisions reached on the screening and confirmation of the ministerial nominees were in line with the rules guiding the activities of the Senate.

The President of the Senate, Senator David Mark, will not trample on the rules to satisfy the yearnings of any interest, no matter how vociferous and violent.

He remains a Pan NIGERIAN, and a statesman always guided by national interest and cohesion.

Signed:

Kola Ologbondiyan
Special Adviser on Media & Publicity to the President of the Senate

AISHA BUHARI AND AKARA FRYER'S ASSOCIATION

At first i thought this was a joke but when i saw this picture i realized that it was for real. What is she trying to prove to Nigerians if not the exact change that Buhari means for Nigerian women.

This takes me back to Buhari's speech again 'IF YOU DON'T DO IT, IT'S A RISK OF YOUR LIFE' and also his promise of strapping the office of the first lady.

Women be wise. Gone are those days when our jobs begin and end in the kitchen. We are much more better now and therefore deserve to move forward.

If you want to remain in the Akara Fryers Association please vote Buhari but if you want to remain in government positions then kindly vote GEJ.

FG LAUNCHES G-WIN PROGRAMME

PRESIDENT Goodluck Jonathan, on Monday, formally launched the Growing Girls and Women in Nigeria initiative (G-WIN), designed to improve the lives of women and girls in the country.
Performing the ceremony in the old Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa, Abuja, he assured of equal opportunity for women in the country.
The president explained the necessity to give more attention to the female folks, as they held the key to the economy and the well-being of the country at large.
He said any government that wanted to succeed must avoid discrimination against women and create opportunities for them to maximise their potentials.
The president regretted that the ratio of girls to boys enrollment in school was far too tilted in favour of boys in some parts of the country, saying that his administration was working hard to improve the situation.
According to him, “in some parts of the country, girls are taken care of; they are competing with their male counterparts at the primary, secondary and university levels and in some cases the school enrollment in some parts of the country show more girls than boys.”
“The ratio in other parts is still low. I want to make sure that every girl child in Nigeria has the unique opportunity to go to school.”
Also speaking on the occasion, the Coordinating Minister for the Economy and the Minister of Finance, Dr Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, stressed the belief of the present administration in women.
She added: “We know that when you empower women, you empower a nation. Studies have shown that when a woman is enabled to earn income, she may invest 90 per cent in her family, while the man will invest 30 per cent.”

THE UNPRECEDENTED ACHIEVEMENTS OF GEJ IN THE HEALTH SECTOR - ONYEKABA CHIOMA R.

The unprecedented attention given to matters concerning the wellbeing of Nigerians by President Goodluck Jonathan has repositioned the health sector, resulting in better healthcare and a record increase in life expectancy in the country. The health sector of our great Country has been given a priority place resulting in the formulation and implementation of strategic policies to strengthen the national health system for effective and affordable delivery of health services to Nigerians as contained in the manifesto of the PDP.

The last four years have witnessed an aggressive reorganization of the health ministry and its paratatals as well as rehabilitation and re-equipping of federal medical institutions including all teaching hospitals, transforming them from consulting clinics and reducing them to comprehensive secondary and referral life-saving institutions.

In 2010, President Goodluck Jonathan  launched the National Strategic Health Development Plan (2010-2015) which clearly spelt out government’s plans in that very important sector. Four years down the line, the project has been pursued with vigour and unquestionable commitment and the results are palpable.

Using the Saving One Million Lives Initiatives and National Health Insurance Scheme, it is incontrovertible that in the last four years of Jonathan Administratioon, Nigerians have more access to adequate and affordable health care, resulting in a record increase in life expectancy in the nation.Over a million lives have been saved directly under the Saving One Million Lives initiative by scaling up cost-effective interventions in maternal and child health care, nutrition, prevention of mother to child transmission of HIV, malaria control and eradication of polio.

Today, maternal mortality has dropped by more than 50 percent following the provision of Midwives Service Scheme and the attendant facilities in our hospitals. The Nigerian child now receives free diabetes treatment in all public hospitals across the country also.

Under the National Strategic Health Development Plan, new technologies in modern medical equipment are now available in most Federal medical institutions, positioning them to handle medical emergencies and disease control. Thus, cases such as kidney, heart and brain ailments as well as cancer are being effectively handled in Nigeria at present.

After about ten years, open-heart surgery has resumed in Nigerian hospitals. So far, more than 55 of such surgeries have been conducted in our hospitals in 2013 with University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital, Enugu, University College Hospital, UCH, Ibadan among others as front runners.

Microsurgery of the brain is also now being conducted at Federal medical Centre, Umuahia while laparoscopic surgery for fibroid cases has since commenced at the Federal Teaching Hospital, Gombe. Also full laparoscopic services has commenced at the Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital Ile Ife.This is in addition to the establishment of Geriatric Units for the elderly in Federal Tertiary Hospitals while renal transplant is now handled in most teaching hospitals across the country.

Following the revival of investment in medical research which was neglected in the past, Nigeria has been able to record breakthrough in the management of sickle cell anemia with the University of Benin Teaching Hospital performing an infusion cell into sickle anemia patience in 2012.

The National Orthopedic Hospitals in Enugu, Kano and Lagos as well as Federal Medical Centre, Yenegoa among others are now performing Total knee and hip replacement thereby giving lifeline to accident victims in the country. Great successes have been recorded with record high number of VVF repairs at the National Obstetric Fistula Centers using state of the art equipment.

The repositioning of the sector under President Jonathan enabled the country to achieve the globally acknowledged feat on the control of Ebola Virus Disease, which has made our health system a model for other countries. In the same vein, the country recorded another health milestone with the eradication of polio. Following our aggressive drive, no new case of the disease has been recorded in the last six months and this qualifies Nigeria to be declared polio-free this month in line with global requirements.

As a way of strengthening the capacity of health workers towards job satisfaction and better service delivery, this administration in April 2014 launched the National Diploma in Paramedics Technology in addition to the registration and training of Medical Physicists in Nigeria.

Now, Nigeria has a Revised Curriculum for Undergraduate Medical and Dental Education as well as Curriculum on Herbal Medicine Development while a Committee on development of indigenous herbal products for promotion of exports has been established.

To take the sector to the next level, the present administration has already inaugurated a Ministerial Committee to unlock the private sector potentials and pave the way for the establishment of world class specialist hospitals and high-end diagnostic centres in each of the six geo- political zones of the country.

In line with the vision of the Jonathan administration to ensure that Nigerians have quicker access to specialized medical attention more of these have been done:

• 1500 primary healthcare facilities have been

refurbished and supplied with essential

drugs

• Establishment of the Nigeria Centre for

Disease Control (NDCD)transformation at a glance

Coverage increased from 38% in 2012 HEALTH

• Maternal mortality has dropped by more

than 50% in Midwives Service Scheme

(MSS) facilities from 2009 to 2012

• MOU has been signed with General Electric

(GE) for the establishment of private world

class specialist hospitals and diagnostic

centres under PPP arrangement

• Overseas component of the Residency

Training Programme to build the capacity

of health professionals with 60 doctors

benefiting

• Health insurance coverage increased from

6% in 2011 to 8% in 2013

• The National Immunisation to 82% in 2013

• Under-5 mortality is down to 94/1000 live

births from 157/1000 live births

• Maternal Mortality ratio has reduced from

545/100,000 in 2008 to 350/100,000 live

births in 2012transformation at a glance

• Guinea worm disease, which previously

affected over 800,000 lives yearly, has been

eradicated from Nigeria

• Introduction, for the first time in the

history of Nigeria, a curriculum for the

training of paramedics

• For the first time in the history of

the country, there has not been any

transmission of the Type-3 Wild Polio virus

for more than one year and the practice of harmful Female Genital Mutilation have been stopped.

All under the administration of GEJ. I believe that four more years will do us no harm.

 Let’s VOTE CONTINUITY AND TRANSFORMATION!

TRANSFORMATION –THE ROADMAP TO EXCELLENCE

Excellence comes from the mind and it is not just a thought but a sparkle which has to start from one day. One could aim at achieving a lot from the very beginning, by gathering all our thoughts and visions on the true path to excellence while some may take aim for little and achieve much in a short while. Our blessings come in different packs just as our destiny’s manifest differently. Despite all these, the road to excellence is not an easy route to travel by. A lot of things must be put in place; first a decision has to be taken, to initiate and make proper planning. This planning might require a form of a team to execute this excellence, a team that will make a decision to work through the thought and vision of the initiator.

If peradventure this team slipped by one member who probably have a diverted mindset, there will be trouble and chaos between them. It is positive if every member of a team has the same mindset to achieve the set aim provided by the leader of the team.

Nigeria Excellence is an initiative which President Goodluck Jonathan has had from the beginning of his tenure. He planned this out in order to create room fro him to implement the things which have been slowed down by the people around in its implementation.

GEJ Vision to make a beautiful achievement in this country was delayed till this day which is why all the aims that are supposed to have been achieved seems to just be surfacing.
So many setbacks from the few members who believe their belly is big enough to fit in all the funds that are supposed to be for the country Nigeria still did not stop this vision of striving stronger day by day.

Excellence-Africa Excellence, and Nigeria Excellence can be achieved if the people of Nigeria can look at the mindset of a man, who is a minor and has made history and whose vision has carried a lot of Nigerians to the very height and has transformed a lot in our beautiful country. If continuity can be considered one more time, I believe Nigeria can never be sent back to its old self but rather it will be moved forward to a perpetual future of transformation-A future that when looked back at we won’t regret embracing continuity.

Let’s embrace Excellence and Vote GEJ as the President of Nigeria to continue the good work he has started and finish up with a perfect conclusion.

DID BUHARI JUST WAKE UP? - ONYEKABA CHIOMA ROSEMARY

Displaying isitruemoraaly.jpg

It was as if I was dreaming and i had to even ask a friend to pinch me just to verify that it was really not a dream. Did Buhari truly restate his take on women empowerment? Damn! How can? This is just too much of a lie for Nigerians to handle.

We were quiet when the same man violated our rule of law by refusing to attach  his school certificate to his nomination form while submitting it to INEC. We still did not blink when the same man lied to us about his health issues. Nigerians still kept quiet when the same man threatened us and insulted us. Even as he is still contesting to be next the president of Nigeria,it is clear that nothing has changed about his attitude to life as he still strives to rule in a democratic society with his military way of life. Ever since this man began this year's campaign, he has broken more rules than a President would ever think of breaking and yet he hasn't been made to pay for his sins. He breaks them and he is allowed to walk freely as though he was above the law.

He has told us numerous lies and we have swallowed them hook, line and sinker. Yet who would have thought that the same man would stoop so low as to go back on his words if not to clearly show Nigerians how desperate for power, he and his party members are. A true leader always has his word as his bond but for Buhari, he is an inconsistent, unreliable, double-tongued, and undecisive fellow.

How can a man who has so much hatred for the female folk suddenly wake up one morning and tell us that he will empower the women? Isn't it the most ridiculous joke of the year? APC should really think of another lie because PDP already beat them to their game. No woman will vote for  a man who has never appreciated our sex and who until now stood on the same grounds only to change his mind two weeks to the primaries, talk more of a man who sentenced a woman to death during his regime. This arrogant fellow deserves to be punished and I know God will unleash his wrath on him sooner than later because he doesn't deserve any atom of mercy. He is blood thirsty.

NIGERIANS KNOW BETTER AND CAN'T BE DECEIVED! IT IS GEJ TILL 2019!!!

DR GOODLUCK EBELE JONATHAN IS A TRUE AFRICAN DEMOCRAT - ONYEKABA CHIOMA ROSEMARY

Displaying DidYouKnowfemale.jpg

Days past, Weeks turned into months and Months into Years but finally today, our current democratic culture can now parade itself amongst other developed cultures all because of the existence of true democracy in Nigeria. It is no longer history, that Nigeria did not evolve on its own into a democratic society without so much tussle and bustle and that as a nation, our experience of colonization which by implication resulted to our democracy is an imported entity and as such one cannot expect Nigerians to run back into the arms of Slavery.

Given the above fact, it is clear that an undemocratic system cannot be allowed to thrive in this country again because nothing can be compared to the dividends of democracy in a democratic society as ours.it is a home grown system of government and as such does not deserve to get into the hands of those who have never appreciated its worth.

This fourth republic been the longest democratic dispensation in Nigerian political history, saw a number of Khaki boys hungry for power, interrupt subsequent democratic dispensation in the past. And as a matter of fact, most of Nigeria's failures can be traced back to the military regime in Nigeria as institutions were weakened to the core during these period of terror, mediocrity and impunity.

When former President Obasanjo took over power in 1999 as a civilian president, What Nigerians experienced was a civilian regime and not a democratic government as he also failed to remove his military toga in the real sense as most of his decisions and policies were characterized with military tendencies especially as he mercilessly fought political leaders who challenged some of his unpopular judgments as exemplified in the way and manner he handled state of emergencies in some states which nearly threw Nigeria into civil unrest. We should also recall how two different towns into two states were nearly wiped out by the military under OBJ's watch as he gave the hatchet order. No one dared speak ill of him during his regime and after failing to make himself a life president through the third term agenda he handed over to President Yar'adua who died in power and by share providence, President GEJ became the first true civilian  President of Nigeria from South-South extraction.

As a man who has made humility his best friend, he didn't waste time to immediately sign the FoI Bill into law in Nigeria. (A Bill which was sat upon by OBJ who is now fighting against this administration claiming that this government is using government apparatus to intimidate opposition simply because he has been given no space to control the government, a tendency which he[OBJ] has penchant for).

It was under GEJ that state of emergency was declared in three states owing to insurgency without touching the democratic institutions put in place by the people not minding the fact that these three states were controlled by the opposition party that so vehemently criticized the federal government. This singular act portrays Mr President as a man who has immense respect for the rule of law and the tenets of democratic values and cultures.

Again, the GEJ's government paved way for a strong opposition party which serves as a watchdog of government not minding the implication, although the opposition party so far has abused all the privileges given them as they resorted to indulging in activities that is capable of creating anarchy just to capture power at all means. This administration strengthened institutions with the executive having little or no influence on what is obtainable in those bodies even when most decisions taken by this institutions affect negatively the interest of the presidency. This is exemplified in the way and manner independent institutions like INEC, The Judiciary which is the third arm of government, etc are being left to make their own decisions. It is also in this era that one has experienced freedom of speech and women empowerment.

Conclusively,we have not recorded any illegal political imprisonments and killings under GEJ's watch and Today, Nigeria leads other African countries economically and is among the few countries to economically be ahead of Britain in few decades. All these mentioned above and other sundry democratic strides not captured here attained by the administration of Dr Goodluck Azikiwe Jonathan conditioned me to christen him the True  African Democrat. He is a man to be emulated and re-elected.

LONG LIVE NIGERIA!
LONG LIVE THE PRESIDENT!

S’West CNPP declares support for Jonathan

The Conference of Nigeria Political Party (CNPP), South-West zone, on Thursday, endorsed President Goodluck Jonathan for the March 28 presidential election.
The South-West Executive Secretary of CNPP, Rev. Austin Nnorom, told journalists in Lagos that the CNPP arrived at the decision based on careful assessment of all the presidential candidates.

“We took time to assess all the presidential candidates of various parties including that of APC and discovered that President Jonathan remains the best of them,” he said.

Nnorom further stated that CNPP believed that Jonathan has done well and if given the mandate for second term, the country would witness more developments.

He stated that Jonathan’s administration has repaired more roads in the country than any administration that existed before it.

“Those of us from the South-East of the country can witness how some of the roads in the area have been reconstructed by this government.”

ALL WOMEN SHOULD VOTE PDP - DAME PATIENCE

First Lady, Dame Patience Jonathan, has encouraged all Nigerian women to vote en masse for the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, during the March 28 presidential election because the brain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, presidential candidate, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, is dead.
Disclosing this on Tuesday during the PDP women presidential campaign rally in Lokoja, Kogi State, she described Buhari as unfit to be the country’s president, alleging he is too old.
“Wetin him dey find again? Him dey drag with him pikin mate,” she said in pidgin English, adding that, “Old man wey no get brain, him brain don die pata pata.”
Swayed by the cheers of the crowd, the First Lady sporadically sang to taunt her husband’s main challenger at this month’s presidential election, by singing “If you vote Buhari, na your prison; if you vote APC, na your wahala.”
She continued, “What is change? Why did you not change things when you were there? Is it now that you want to be doing the things you weren’t doing before?

“Jonathan looked at us and said women, I am giving you the position of the chief justice of this country. Okonjo-Iweala is a woman, Diezani is a woman. Seventy percent of his cabinet are women.
“He also gave us the opportunity to start enrolling for the regular combatant course at the NDA (Nigerian Defence Academy). “He wants continuity because he has vowed to do more.  He places Nigerians in his mind and if he says he will do this, he will do it. So what are we looking for? If we women of Nigeria don’t appreciate Goodluck and we are looking for bus conductor, it is left for us.”
While calling on the people to obtain their permanent voter cards (PVCs) in order to participate in the election, she stated that her visit was meant to appreciate them, urging them to “remember that your vote is your power and it is good to vote wisely”.
According to her, “Those of you that do not have PVC should endeavour to collect it because all these things you are doing is meaningless without PVC.
“I thank you very much the people of Kogi. This time around I came to thank you very well. I brought some gift for you, I brought rice, I brought meat, I brought brocade. I brought many things for you. It is not for election but to thank you very well,” she said.

BEYOND THE HEADLINES - ONYEKABA CHIOMA

Africa has been my life and the Success of Nigeria has been my priority which is one of the reasons why I try hard to lead my fellow youths by good examples. But I still can’t help but wonder why our past leaders are finding it hard to follow these footsteps.

Most times, we end up finding it extremely hard to explain a complex and multi-layered continent to those who wish to probe beyond the headlines and the reason I believe is because we have been thought to always look at the physical and never beyond it.

There is absolutely more to this new Nigeria that is about to emerge than that which meets the eyes. It is better we all begin to pray for our country more immensely than we ever did rather than remain on-lookers because we cannot continue to feed on news of wars and disasters any longer. Even though at this point it looks like not all Nigerians are fighting or been abducted since the terrorists have chosen the North East as their ancestral base; yet it doesn’t mean that we all are not part of those suffering in fear of the unknown. Many are facing psychological illnesses all because of the dent terrorism has left on us while many are gladly sponsoring and enjoying the pain of those who suffer. What a world?!

A certain party suddenly woke up from their slumber and began to sing the song of change- a change they know nothing about, a change they cannot even implement as they seem to be clearly finding it difficult to change the reality (BOKO HARAM). They busy themselves trying to change the image(Our President)  and not the nation.

Earlier on, Atiku, a member of this aggrieved party, APC, told Nigerians that ‘If positive change becomes unacceptable then violent change becomes inevitable’. And true to his words, their violently trained supporters who seemed to have been awaiting this pronouncement began to destroy things and hurt PDP supporters. They even took to the streets; burning buses and pulling down posters of the ruling party members.

Are you still looking at headlines only? This party who claim they will flush out terror should by now have been able to do so to enable us vote them into power but ‘’NO’’ they won’t! They are waiting to be crowned before they perform the act of stopping this terrorist group that they master-minded from the onset. To crown it all, they are finding it very difficult applauding the President and the Military on the good job done so far because they are simply taken aback by their achievements so far, given the simple fact that the issue of insecurity and corruption which has been their major topics of ridicule against Mr. President so far, happens to be coming to an end. As such they are very frustrated at this moment because once PDP wins this war then their story becomes history.

I even noticed that some of their members are beginning to have a rethink. Anyway, how can one be happy when he/she is been related to a party known for its numerous failures and violent acts? Come to think of it, how can Buhari, who claims to be the wisest of all yet without a certificate, refuse to accept common failure? Doesn’t this show you clearly that this man is out for trouble? This is one reason why I love Mr. President. When asked what he will do if he looses the election, he simply said he would gladly step down. But for Buhari, he insists he will win. This means something is giving them courage and confidence .But let me remind the APC that ‘Pride cometh before a fall’. Over-confident people always fail even the simplest mathematics in a course they are upheld to be the best in. A real and true leader does not and should not totally rule out failure because no one is perfect. He should rather make room for alternative measures to be taken should things work against him and favor his opponent. That is what makes a leader!

Nigerians are tired of hearing the APC saying things they will do if elected into power. If you truly love Nigerians and you know what to do to stop this terrorists, you would have done so. The truth is you know nothing about securing lives because you derive joy in taken them. No more talks, we want action. Start doing it, Stop saying it. Nigerians are wiser now!

'SAINT' BUHARI AND THE NEED FOR JUDICIAL REVIVAL - ONyekaba Chioma

It is indeed alarming and heart-breaking to deduce that in a civilized and developing Country like Nigeria, some people who believe that they own the estate called Nigeria do not actually practice what they preach even as the worrisome part  is that, the Nigerian Judicial system, whose job is to interpret by calling on Nigerians who derail from the path of justice, seem to have closed their eyes as though it does not affect them. Whether we like it or not, it has been often said and believed that the Judiciary is the hope of the common man. But my dear people, is it so in practice? The Judiciary as the second arm of government has enormous but fundamental roles to play if it wants to contribute its quota in redefining our democratic tenets as a country.
With the recent 'hide and seek' games played by the All Progressive Congress (APC) Presidential flag bearer, General Muhammad Buhari owing to his academic  certificate which is one of his major requirements for qualification as an aspirant for the country's number one plum job clearly indicates that indeed the Nigerian law is strictly for some people while some few are confidently above the Law and stands tall amongst law breakers in the land. So does it mean that the judiciary is trying to tell Nigerians that some people are just clearly above the law and therefore stand uncorrectable?
With this development, the 'saintly branded General' and his refusal to display or rather attach his original School Leaving Certificate to his nomination form, has simply told Nigerians the real stuff he is made of. What then is BUHARI teaching  the Nigerian youths who are observing with uncommon passion? What sort of mentor is he?
Even after the Abuja Peace Accord where major political gladiators signed for the promotion of peace in this unique election time of our history, well meaning Nigerians also witnessed with dismay, pockets of violence in some parts of the country resulting in the unwanton killings of innocent Nigerians  and destruction of lives and properties.
Let me clearly state that the callous burning of PDP branded campaign Vehicles in Jos; master-minding the attack on the President’s Convoy in Katsina, Bauchi and other northern states; alleged attempt by the opposition to hack the electoral body's data base; tearing of PDP’S Presidential Candidates Posters is one of too many atrocities committed after the said peace pact. Yet BUHARI and APC stands above the law. Why can't this problematic candidates be brought to book?
It is also pertinent however, to emphasize that the APC as an opposition party threw caution to the wind when they made jest of the security of Nigerians rather than help provide solutions to see to the end of insurgency. What manner of man will say he will provide Nigerians security only when he is put into power? Only comic characters I guess. You have to start acting before people can recognize your good deeds and deem you fit for the position you seek not otherwise.
In this time of unwarranted terror against Nigeria, the opposition is still in heavy support of the decree of the court concerning the deployment of the military during election. Doesn't this clearly show what kind of people they are? Is it that they have consciously failed to understand that the absence of soldiers to protect citizens during and after elections would have given insurgents a field day to carry out their dastardly and cowardice acts? No I think that they are the master minders of this particular terrorist group and so they do not care about what happens to Nigerians on the day of elections. They are just scared of been wiped out by the military and so donot want evidences to arise.
Painfully, the Sharia law was recently visited on an undisclosed PDP Supporter in Kaduna when his hand was wickedly amputated, yet the APC believed it has won the elections even before it is been conduct. As if it is not enough, they still threaten Nigerians claiming that if they don't win, 'heavens will let loose'

In sane societies like the one we live in today, Buhari is certainly not supposed to run for this Presidential election considering the fact that he has broken so many rules and is still willing to break more.
Despite the signing of the Peace Accord, APC has since then broken all the rules applicable to the signing of the peace accord and yet they move around freely holding their shoulders high as though they have won a lottery.

Without mincing words, The APC clearly sees this battle as a do or die affair which ought not to be. On this grounds, I therefore, urge the Judiciary to keenly observe developments in the polity and act accordingly when the time comes.
The judiciary is expected to rekindle the confidence reposed in them by the common and great people Nigeria and give us justice, fairness and equity. May God Bless Nigeria.
