APC SHIOULD COME OUT CLEAN-ONYEKABA CHIOMA

An author and a friend of mine once said that each time he tries to say 'Africa is ' the words crumble and break.

From every generalization you must exclude at least five countries. And just as you think you've nailed down a certainty, you just wake up to realize that the opposite is true. Africa is full of surprises and that is exactly because it has Nigeria in it.

 Normality is nice but it does not-as they say- sell newspapers. You need to go no further than where you already are, to see the truth about either TRANSFORMATION or CHANGE.

All the rich history, enviable Culture, and complexity of Africa which we now enjoy, cannot be lost to people who will never value it all because the only songs they love to sing are that of CHANGE, VIOLENCE AND WAR. It is even easier and better described it as chaos.

If we look back through the flow of Africa's historical struggle for self rule we will realize two swirling currents- The Marxist and The Africanist.

The Marxist Strategy was to change the structures and seize political power so that the economy could be run in the interest of the masses while the Africanist, which was a reaction to racial oppression, was less bothered about seizing power in order to change economic structures and more about freeing Africans from alien rule. But after all this struggles we came down to democracy and some Anglo-Saxon people in Renaissance are trying to drag us back.

I support the debate between the two Presidential Candidates because I believe it will help the likes of doubting Thomas in our society today, to make up their minds about voting in the ruling party. There is absolutely no comparison between light and darkness and I am sure the APC is aware of that. LET THEM COME AND BRIEF NIGERIANS ABOUT CHANGE BECAUSE WE ARE EAGER TO LEARN!
