DID BUHARI JUST WAKE UP? - ONYEKABA CHIOMA ROSEMARY

It was as if I was dreaming and i had to even ask a friend to pinch me just to verify that it was really not a dream. Did Buhari truly restate his take on women empowerment? Damn! How can? This is just too much of a lie for Nigerians to handle.

We were quiet when the same man violated our rule of law by refusing to attach  his school certificate to his nomination form while submitting it to INEC. We still did not blink when the same man lied to us about his health issues. Nigerians still kept quiet when the same man threatened us and insulted us. Even as he is still contesting to be next the president of Nigeria,it is clear that nothing has changed about his attitude to life as he still strives to rule in a democratic society with his military way of life. Ever since this man began this year's campaign, he has broken more rules than a President would ever think of breaking and yet he hasn't been made to pay for his sins. He breaks them and he is allowed to walk freely as though he was above the law.

He has told us numerous lies and we have swallowed them hook,line and sinker. Yet who would have thought that the same man would stoop so low as to go back on his words if not to clearly show Nigerians how desperate for power, he and his party members are. A true leader always has his word as his bond but for Buhari, he is an inconsistent, unreliable, double-tongued, and undecisive fellow.

How can a man who has so much hatred for the female folk suddenly wake up one morning and tell us that he will empower the women? Isn't it the most ridiculous joke of the year? APC should really think of another lie because PDP already beat them to their game. No woman will vote for  a man who has never appreciated our sex and who until now stood on the same grounds only to change his mind two weeks to the primaries, talk more of a man who sentenced a woman to death during his regime. This arrogant fellow deserves to be punished and I know God will unleash his wrath on him sooner than later because he doesn't deserve any atom of mercy. He is blood thirsty.
