The Conference of Nigeria Political Party (CNPP), South-West zone, on Thursday, endorsed President Goodluck Jonathan for the March 28 presidential election.
The South-West Executive Secretary of CNPP, Rev. Austin Nnorom, told journalists in Lagos that the CNPP arrived at the decision based on careful assessment of all the presidential candidates.
“We took time to assess all the presidential candidates of various parties including that of APC and discovered that President Jonathan remains the best of them,” he said.
Nnorom further stated that CNPP believed that Jonathan has done well and if given the mandate for second term, the country would witness more developments.
He stated that Jonathan’s administration has repaired more roads in the country than any administration that existed before it.
“Those of us from the South-East of the country can witness how some of the roads in the area have been reconstructed by this government.”
