President
Goodluck Jonathan’s administration has evidently improved and encouraged our
educational sector in various regards. To mention projects started and
completed by President Goodluck: 125 Almajiri Schools were built in 13 Northern
States, 27 Special girls school also built, 12 New Federal Universities, 34 new
NCE awarding institutions, 101 Presidential Special Scholarships awarded for
Innovations, information and partial sectors of our national life. Increased in
Basic education enrolment (UBEC) and a notable 75% Increase in O'Level credit
pass in Maths and English have been observed.

Innovation Enterprise Institutions have been licensed, 7000 lecturers provided
with sponsorship for post graduate studies home and abroad. Polytechnic laboratories
rehabilitated.
Budgetary
allocation to education has doubled. 104 candidates scaled the final hurdle
(First Class Graduates) for Presidential scholarship award and were asked to
apply to study (in any of the top 25 universities in the world approved for the
scheme) for their Phd.
Nigeria
is moving steadily and surely towards real development, using Educational
empowerment as the springboard. The journey has started, making good progress
under GEJ’s watch. He is determined to achieve the set goals. He is
unstoppable.
